Heirs Insurance Group Extends Rewards Programme to Annuitants, Deepens Support for Retirees’ Wellbeing

provides annuitants with practical health, nutrition, emergency-response and lifestyle benefits, extending value beyond monthly annuity payments

Heirs Insurance Group, Nigeria’s fastest-growing insurance group, has extended the Heirs Insurance Rewards Programme to Heirs Life annuitants, providing them with access to carefully selected benefits designed to support healthier, safer and more fulfilling lives in retirement. The initiative

recognises that financial security is only one aspect of a fulfilling retirement. At a stage of life when access to quality healthcare, good nutrition, emergency support and opportunities for continued learning becomes increasingly important, the programme provides practical benefits that annuitants can use in their everyday lives.

Through partnerships with leading health and lifestyle brands, Heirs Life annuitants can access:

  • 10% off healthy meals at So Fresh, supporting better nutrition and healthier living;
  • 10% off radiology and laboratory services at Avon Medical, helping to make essential diagnostic care more accessible;
  • 15% off emergency-response services from Emergency Response Africa, providing additional reassurance when urgent assistance is required; and
  • 5% off books and educational resources at RovingHeights, encouraging continued learning, discovery and personal enrichment.

Annuitants will also receive special recognition and exclusive gifts on milestone birthdays, reinforcing their place within a community that continues to value and celebrate them beyond active employment. The programme extends Heirs Insurance Group’s relationship with annuitants beyond the payment of their monthly income. It reflects a broader commitment to supporting their quality of life through relevant benefits, useful information and meaningful community engagement.

Retirees have spent decades contributing to their families, workplaces, communities and the wider economy. Yet, they are often under-represented in conversations and initiatives around healthcare, wellbeing, financial inclusion and social engagement. By extending the Heirs Insurance Rewards Programme to annuitants, Heirs Insurance Group is helping to ensure that retirees continue to receive support, recognition and value throughout this important stage of life.

Speaking on the programme Chief Marketing Officer, Heirs Insurance Group, Ifesinachi Okpagu, said, “ Our annuitants have entrusted us with an important part of their retirement journey, and we believe that relationship should deliver value beyond monthly annuity payments.

“Retirement should be lived with dignity, confidence and a sense of belonging. By providing access to relevant healthcare, nutrition, emergency-response and lifestyle benefits, we are offering practical support for the everyday needs of our annuitants and helping them live healthier and more fulfilling lives.

“This programme also reflects how we think about insurance at Heirs Insurance Group: not simply as a policy or payment, but as a long-term relationship through which we continue to support and create value for our customers at every stage of life.”

The extension of the Rewards Programme follows the August 21, 2026 inaugural Heirs Insurance Retirees Meet-up, which brought together more than 1,000 retirees in Lagos for a day of learning, wellness, networking and recreation.

The event placed retirees at the centre of meaningful conversations around financial wellbeing, healthcare and life after active employment. Participants received complimentary health screenings and financial guidance, engaged with experts and built valuable social connections within a supportive community environment.

Together, the Heirs Insurance Retirees Meet-up, Retirees Club and Annuitants Rewards Programme demonstrate the Group’s deliberate approach to supporting retirees holistically, through financial security, practical everyday benefits, relevant information, recognition and community.

The Heirs Insurance Retirees Club is a growing community for retirees and pre-retirees, providing members with practical retirement information, access to exclusive events, relevant product and service updates, partner discounts and customer milestone benefits.
